The high modulus agent is a high modulus modifier obtained by grafting thermoplastic elastomers onto high-density oxidized polyolefin with a narrow molecular weight distribution. Containing rigid aromatic groups, the high modulus modifier increases the rigidity of asphalt, and enables the asphalt mixture to achieve cementing, reinforcement and deformation resistance effects. Through multiple functions including tackifying and reinforcing aggregate surfaces as well as asphalt modification, it significantly improves the high-temperature stability, fatigue resistance, water stability and low-temperature crack resistance of asphalt mixtures. Suitable for all types of asphalt mixtures, it can greatly enhance the comprehensive performance of asphalt mixtures. Compared with commonly used high modulus modifiers available on the market, it boasts favorable fast solubility, low-temperature flexibility and superior mixture performance.
1. Excellent high-temperature rutting resistance
The dynamic stability exceeds 8000 times/mm at 60℃ and 3000 times/mm at 70℃; the dynamic modulus at 15℃ is above 14000 MPa.
2. Comprehensive improvement of pavement performance
While maintaining outstanding rutting resistance, it enhances the pavement’s water damage resistance and low-temperature crack resistance, extends pavement maintenance intervals and increases the service life of roads.
3. Good workability
This product effectively improves construction workability and widens the applicable construction temperature range by 20~30℃, ensuring pavement compaction even when the mixture temperature drops.
4. Easy application
No extra equipment or pre-mixing with asphalt is required. It is directly added during the mixing of asphalt mixtures, featuring simple operation and stable production quality.
1. Highways: Expressways and high-grade highways, especially suitable for high-temperature areas, heavy traffic sections and long steep longitudinal slope sections;
2. Mountainous areas: Pavements in regions with inconvenient transportation, pavements in low-temperature seasons and cold regions;
3. Municipal roads: Municipal arterial roads, bus lanes, etc., especially suitable for intersections and bus stops;
The typical dosage of high modulus agent is 1% by mass of asphalt mixture. It can be added into the mixing pot manually or by feeding machine.
