LURA anti-icing agent is a powdery material. When mixed into asphalt mixtures, asphalt mixtures with slow-release and long-acting anti-icing properties can be produced by adjusting aggregate gradation, increasing asphalt-aggregate ratio, reducing void ratio and optimizing mixing methods. During snowfall on pavements, it is slowly released onto the pavement surface to break the bond between ice/snow and pavement, thus restoring the anti-slip function of the pavement surface.
1. The anti‑icing agent shall be added by external mixing method.
2. Easy compaction and satisfactory skid‑resistance performance.
3. Increase asphalt‑aggregate ratio and reduce void content.
4. Active and long‑lasting anti‑freezing property.
It is suitable for asphalt surface courses of road sections prone to icing and ice‑related accidents in winter, such as tunnel entrances and exits, bridges, highway ramps, uphill and downhill sections, intersections and curves.
The dosage of anti‑icing agent is 3‑5% by weight of asphalt mixture, which shall be directly fed into the mixing plant.
